What I cannot tell is whether or not Dave Coyne is on New Line Cinema’s payroll. What is indisputable is that whether he’s pushing himself or New Line Cinema’s upcoming film Snakes on a Plane (starring Sam Jackson), Coyne is a brilliant marketer.

The U.S. military has finally killed Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al-Qaeda leader in Iraq, and they’ve got video to prove it. This Centcom video is of the airstrike that killed Al-Zarqawi:

This 3D animation by Marcelo Ricardo Ortiz is one of the coolest bits of animation I’ve seen in a while. It is set to Duran Duran’s song The Chauffeur and pays homage to Pablo Picasso‘s masterpiece “Guernica,” Vincent Van Gogh’s “Bedroom In Arles” paintings, Salvador Dali’s “La Persistance de la Mémoire” and M.C. Escher’s “Relativity.”
