Katharine Whalen’s The Funnest Game
I found a new favorite musician at my one of my favorite podcasts/MP3 blogs, IndieFeed. You need to first know that I love hearing horns put to good use in a song, so these naturally appeal to me.
The musician is Katharine Whalen and the song is The Funnest Game. I found a "video" for the song at Google Video, but it sure looks like she produced it herself. Check it:

Speaking of Betty Boop, here’s an amazing music video for the song Ghost of Stephen Foster by Squirrel Nut Zippers. What’s the relevance? Squirrel Nut Zippers is Whalen’s previous band and the video is basically Betty Boop on acid (found at YouTube from locknloll):
