LBJ Orders Pants

Saturday, February 5th, 2011

An animated version of a phone call president Lyndon Johnson made to order some pants.

In 1964, Lyndon Johnson needed pants, so he called the Haggar clothing company and asked for some. The call was recorded (like all White House calls at the time), and has since become the stuff of legend. Johnson’s anatomically specific directions to Mr. Haggar are some of the most intimate words we’ve ever heard from the mouth of a President. Found at Vimeo from Put This On.

Santa Claus Conquers The Martians

Monday, December 25th, 2006

From the Internet Movie Database description:

Martians, upset that their children have become obsessed with TV shows
from Earth which extoll the virtues of Santa Claus, start an expedition
to Earth to kidnap the one and only Santa. While on Earth, they kidnap
two lively children that lead the group of Martians to the North Pole
and Santa. The Martians then take Santa and the two children back to
Mars with them.

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is a really bad B movie from 1964. Running time: 1:19:54.
