Boomtown Rats – I Don’t Like Mondays

I Don’t Like Mondays was the ‘ biggest hit. Released in 1979–20 years before Columbine– the January 29, 1979 shooting at Cleveland Elementary School in San Diego by 16 year old Brenda Ann Spencer, who killed two men and wounded eight students and a cop. Spencer explained to a reporter, "I don’t like Mondays. This livens things up."  The Boomtown Rats were lead by , who might be more famous for his role as Pink in the screen version of ‘s .

U2 – I Will Follow

I Will Follow was ‘s first track of their first album, the 1980 release Boy, and their first hit. They had such a unique sound when they first hit the music scene:
