Since Governor Jesse Ventura made fireworks legal here, we Minnesotans have had to endure a new and rather annoying tradition: the annual fireworks scare story wherein the media grasps at any recent incident, however small, to demonstrate the dangers of fireworks and to run unceasing scare teasers to entice viewers to their evening broadcasts.
